A delegation of Water Resources Commission Board and Management members of the Commission recently called on the Hon. Dr. Freda Akosua Oheneafrewo Prempeh, Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources at the Ministry in Accra.
The Minister who welcomed the delegates, underscored the critical role the Water Resources Commission plays in the regulation and management of water resources in the country, especially at a time the ‘galamsey’ issues and other activities were polluting our water bodies.
Noting that efforts to tackle illegal mining and safeguarding our Water Resources was dear to the President, she stressed the need for the Commission to up its game to enhance its work and to regulate unlicensed drillers as well as check other household water suppliers in the country.
